On your discussion of driving from Sewalls Point to Ft Pierce, are you talking about driving it on Route 707 that hugs the west side of Indian River Lagoon? Not US 1, correct? Thanks!

Bonnie gross. Hello. I just read your article on the st Pete trail, and while it's a fantastic trail and enjoyable as far as being the most Scenic in Florida I'd have to disagree. The Withlacoochee Trail between dunnellon and inverness is paved and runs right through beautiful woods, most of which are shaded my natural tree lined canopy. It starts in Dunnellon and runs along the Rainbow springs River, and over the Withlacoochee, of course it's quite a bit north but if you ever get a chance you two should definitely check it out. Swampys restaurant is on the rainbow and 100 years from the start, and a great place to get a bite before you start, the parking lot is at the trail head and is also where kayaks put into and out of the springs.

I LOVE the Withlacoochee. In fact, in my article on it I say: "This might be Florida's best bike trail." See the article here: https://www.floridarambler.com/florida-bike-hike-trails/withlacoochee-state-trail/

Most scenic trail? Best trail? Not sure which gets which superlative, but they are both awesome trails!

Just read Bonnie’s very nice article about the NWR and beach in Hobe Sound. She writes that it’s about 2 miles East of I-95 on Bridge Rd. to the intracoastal. It’s actually just a tad short of 7.5 miles. I live just off Bridge Rd. so m familiar with the Reserve.

Nice article. Did not mention that Brooksville, FL also has a Zoo and a Cannery.
