I was not as careful as I should have been when packing my kayak and gear on the deck of my 19-foot open fisherman. Next time, I’ll leave more deck space to access anchors, dock lines and the straps for the Bimini top, which I had to lower to get under a bridge before entering Chokoloskee Bay.
