DAYTONA BEACH — Tiger Bay State Forest is a vast wilderness quite close to Daytona Beach International Speedway, and it’s a great destination for camping, fishing, off-road bike riding, hiking and horseback riding.
Faver-Dykes State Park offers excellent access to the Pellicer Creek Paddling Trail, productive fishing and woodsy camping for small RV’s and tent campers. Just 15 miles from St. Augustine, the park is a gateway to history.
Anastasia State Park is a stone’s throw from historic St. Augustine and offers 139 shady, secluded campsites near a 4-mile long white-sand beach that shimmers in the sun.
Ocala National Forest has hundreds of trails where you can backpack into 600 square miles of wilderness and pound your tent stake into the ground.
This public park is spread over 900 acres on five interconnected islands with seven miles of waterfront, including three miles of award-winning beaches .Nearly half of the 233 campsites in the campground are waterfront, allowing you to launch your kayak or canoe from your site.
