Germany’s annual beer festival is celebrated throughout Florida, although some celebrations are being scaled back due to this summer’s outbreak of COVID-19. Check individual listings and follow the links for the latest details.
The best Florida Oktoberfests go all out with authentic German bands, authentic German beers and authentic German food and people dancing like chickens under Big Tents.
So, roll out the barrel! Let’s have some fun!

September 2021 Florida Oktoberfests
Sept. 9-12, 2021. Wynwood Oktoberfest, Miami.
Seasonal brews, indoors grand “Munich” beer hall, long festival tables, German bands, beer games, authentic food, artisan market. Sponsored by Sam Adams and Jack Daniels. Admission is free.

German American Society of Greater Hollywood. Oktoberfest celebrations to be held on four Saturdays this fall at the society’s clubhouse, 6401 Washington Street in Hollywood.

Sept. 23-25, 2021. Oktoberfest of Oveida
Wear your best German attire at the Center Lake Park Amphitheatre and Cultural Center for a FREE 3-day German themed celebration. Event features live music, beer, wine, authentic German dancing, German food, and an additional area with non-German faire. Thursday, 5-9 p.m.; Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, 4-10 p.m.
Sept. 24-25, 2021 Oktoberfest at Bluewater Bay, Niceville.
Family-oriented event with German traditions and food. Enjoy bratwurst, sauerkraut, beer, wine, a German band, the High Steppers, clowns, children’s rides. Admission is free. Sponsored by Mid Bay Bridge Rotary.

CANCELLED Oakland Park Oktoberfest,
(Scheduled date was Oct. 1-3. Cancelled due to COVID) Amusement rides, Bavarian folk dancers, Sepp Diepolder: Master jodler, zither and accordion player, German food and beer are highlights of this Oktoberfest presented by the Funky Buddha Brewery. Admission $5.
October 2, 2021. Brütoberfest, Tavares/Mount Dora
35+ breweries and unlimited tastings of more than 80 beers. Live music. General admission tickets include unlimited samples and cost $40 in advance/$45 day of event and are available online or at Brü Tap House. 5-8 p.m. Designated drive tickets $15 available only at the tap house.
October 8, 2021. Hollerbach’s Oktoberfest. Sanford
A festival celebrating German food, beer, music, dance, folk costumes and Gemütlichkeit! This year we have moved the party to the Sanford Civic Center and surrounding streets, just a block away from our Willow Tree Café German restaurant!

Transforms Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park downtown into a beer garden with live music, dancing, beer and games, mustache competition. Admission: $10 per day; $25, 3 days.

This year’s Apalach Oktoberfest starts Friday night at Oyster City Brewing Company and travels Saturday to the High Five Dive Bar and than back to Oyster City Brewing Company on Sunday. There will be live music, tasty brews, and maybe even some lederhosen.

Scaled down version of this annual event at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth. Enjoy authentic German Oktoberfest bands, dancing, German food and beer. October 10, 2021. Flora-Bama Oktoberfest, Perdido Key
“Family friendly” event at the famous Flora-Bama Lounge on Perdido Key. Complimentary German food served at 4 pm until its gone. Menu includes Beer Brats, Sauerkraut, and German Potato Salad. Stein hoisting competition sponsored by Samuel Adams begins at 5 pm. New Orleans-based polka band takes the stage at 4 pm.

The German American Society of Central Florida sponsors two public festivals in October with live entertainment, dancing, stein-holding contests, beer, bratwursts, potato salad, pretzels and bounce houses for children. “The most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in Florida.” Admission $5.

Three days of German beer, food, music, as well as activities for kids and families at Aaron Bessant Park. Features a massive 150′ x 50′ tent decorated like the authentic Oktoberfest tent in Munich, Germany, as well as two outdoor beer gardens and a VIP section under the tent.

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale is transformed into a village with biergartens, festive décor and a tented dining area. A German-American menu will be offered featuring Bratwurst, Pretzels, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Burgers, to name a few! Breweries will feature two brews each. Admission: $10 each day.

Jacksonville Beach’s two-day festival features German beers, three stages with live entertainment, food trucks, a 100-foot ferris wheel and more. Admission is free; VIP passes available.
