John Turner is an accomplished writer and outdoorsman who lives in the North Georgia Mountains. John completed hiking the 2,194-mile Appalachian Trail in 2022 and is the author of Killing the Buddha on the Appalachian Trail: Walking on Through Self-Doubt and Aging, As a member of the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club, he is editor of The Georgia Mountaineer Quarterly, maintains a short section of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, and is a Trail Ambassador.
